Workload in Lync Server 2010

This poster shows each workload in Lync Server 2010, describing relationships, dependencies, the servers that initiate connections, and certificate requirements. Relationships between Microsoft Lync 2010 communications software, Microsoft Lync 2010 Phone Edition, Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007, Microsoft Lync Web App, and other communications software are also described. SIP and XMPP connection patterns are shown for Yahoo!, MSN, AOL, Gmail, and Jabber. The latest update is version 5.12. This version adds more details to the Enterprise Voice .
Personally I like the new version, but for you as a very experienced Consultant, you know this is onyl a very high level view and still a lot of information cannot be reflected, as it would fully overload the drawing.
I can recommend this drawing for the initial and generic understanding of Lync protocol work flows.

Think for example about the Mediation Server, you have Media Bypass, Early Media and other related configuration, which are all not reflected and will therefore genrate a huge impact on network design, or Firewall setup's in Enterprise Networks. It also do not show the Mediation Server <-> Gateway connect.
